Hit Stix

I’ve been trying to teach myself the drums. This morning, I woke up thinking about some rhythms I could play when I got to the kit, and the I realized, “I don’t need the kit. I can just play those rhythms on my Hit Stix!” Well, I could if I had Hit Stix. Unfortunately, I don’t and never did. But these commercials, both of which were in heavy rotation during afternoon cartoons, sure made them look sweet. If they had actually come with the clothes featured in the commercials, I might have put them on my Christmas list.

  1. Oh man, does the conductor die at the end? If so, they should put a disclaimer. “May kill old stuffy white guy.”

BTW, those hit sticks totally DIDN’T work in the air unless you whipped those suckers hard.

  2. I remember these! I wanted them, but there was no way my parents were gonna buy me something that made noise. They left that to the computer, video games, train sets, Robie jr. robot, etc.. =)
