A Tour Of Atari

After reading a couple video game history books, I finally realized how close I am to the place where Atari started. One day when Hot Pink Heather was out of town, I drove down with a cinematographer friend to check out the old Atari offices. With the help of Peachy and Chris Tupa, I put together this little film about my adventure:

Doug is a child of the 80s who was raised in Ohio and is now living the life of oblivion in the bay area of California.

  1. As someone who has played games from the Atari days to the present (and has worked in the game industry for the past 5 years), this really was awesome to me! Great video!

Terrific mega-cool video, Doug, Peachy and Chris!
Got chills taking it in and thinking back on Atari games, their HQ (which I imagined to be as mysterious and fun as Mad Magazine’s offices) and how much a part of me is still in those gaming sessions.

Thanks all, I appreciate the good words. Maybe for my next adventure I’ll drive down to Fremont and see the old Worlds of Wonder building.
