Aliens: Infestation For Nintendo 3DS

I know what you need. I do. You need to make sure that in October you have your Nintendo 3DS ready so that you can play what has been described as a mash-up of Metroid and Castlevania set in the Aliens film universe!

  1. The Truth says:

Yes. Superman came out in the 1930’s, but any news of him these days doesn’t count as retro, because he is a constant. As is Aliens. If this was about an Alien game from the 1980’s, then it’s retro. If this was a modern game remake of a game from the 1980’s, perhaps it is retroeee…. but this really isn’t retro. The setting of the game doesn’t fit my idea of retro, perhaps VicSage’s has a different idea of retro.

  2. Mr. Sage! I may have to steal (I mean borrow) the wife’s DS and get this game. I have enjoyed every Aliens game i have ever played. Alas, I never got to play the Atari Jaguar version…though i saw it played from a distance. Also you might be happy to know that I spoke with the judges and this actually does count as Retro! It stands as a testament to the ongoing quality of the Alien franchise and it’s constant phoenix-like rebirth. The influence that you describe it having makes it not only sound like it is smack dab in the Nostalgia Wheelhouse, it sounds like it’s right up my alley as well. Great Find Vic!
