Where’s WALL-E?

Wow. Get ready to lose about 30 minutes of your day. Thanks to Hopewell Studios’s Richard Sargent for this incredible illustration of…well, just a massive amount of robots and automatons and androids and sentient mechanical constructs! In fact if you follow that link above you can see the artwork in it’s original size and they are also having a contest:

“Win a signed poster print of Richard’s ‘Where’s WALL-E?’ art! How many characters can you identify? Use the guide picture to name as many as you can. The most correct answers will win a poster. Answers to richard@hopewellstudios.com. Closing date for entries 31st August 2011. Entries will be judged by name and origin of each character; in the event of a tie a winner will be chosen at random.”

A big thanks to Comics Alliance as well for giving us the heads up on this.

This would be an interesting test of google’s new image search. Split the image into each individual robot and see if google can match it to another picture of the robot. I might just test it out.
