Fun With Figs

In the mid-’80s, Nabisco ran a series of full page comic book ads featuring little puzzles. The puzzles were never that challenging or interesting, yet whenever I came across one, I could not continue with whatever adventure I was reading until I had solved it. Here are a few of them:

  1. I never bothered to complete any of these puzzles, since I either liked the product (Chips Ahoy!) or didn’t like it (Fig Newtons). I just kept reading the comic book, but I valued these ads because they were a part of the wonderful comics landscape.
