Ben Marks over at Collector’s Weekly has put together a wonderful post about racing models, from the ’20s to the ’60s. The post has wonderful photos that demonstrate that these toys were clearly played hard. The photos are a real drawn but read the article to hear from collector Michael Spengler who explains how German kids amped up their races with catapults and putty.
