Behind the Scenes: Batman (1989)

A big tip of the cape and cowl to Quint over at Ain’t It Cool News as well as to Andrew Jackson who provided the behind the scenes photo of Tim Burton’s 1989 Batman. I feel that Batman has been unnecessarily vilified over the years, especially since Christopher Nolan’s films have done such a wonderful job of retelling the mythology. I still defend this film though, Nicholson and Keaton did a fantastic job…it also allowed me turn around and see one of my favorite comic book characters on nearly every product in 1989!

  1. Dax says:

Plus, one of the two best superhero movie soundtracks of all time, far as I’m concerned (with Williams’ Superman: the Movie score being the other).

  2. I would not argue those two choices but I would have to add the Rocketeer score by James Horner and on the subject of Batman, the Dark Knight by Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard for greatest suphero movie soundtracks.
