1965 Smokey the Bear Vinyl Lunch Box

As I have mentioned on the site before, I am a big fan of Smokey the Bear. I am much more familiar with the Smokey of the 1970s and 1980s, so I was very excited to this version of Smokey from the 1960s on a lunchbox over at Hake’s. I a not sure what this art style is called, everything has a name right? But I am a fan.

Nifty. Not sure what you’d call it, but it reminds me of a kind of linoleum cut-style thingee.

This is the exact lunchbox I had when in the 2nd grade! I’ve been looking for this – for ever!

This looks like the one I had in the first grade. I believe it had small tress printed on the back and sides. I wish I still had mine, but that was back in the mid sixties.

Only lunch box I ever had. After that all I got was brown paper bags. I dropped and broke the Thermos the first day of school. My mom never replaced it. So that ended any cold drinks to go with my lunch. I loved that lunchbox. Looks like one sold for $325 on Hake’s.
