Kermit the Frog sings The Rainbow Connection

I can still vividly remember the first time I saw and heard this song at our local Fourplex. I watched The Muppet Movie again recently and still stands. If their new movie has half the heart of the original, I will be very happy to be there on opening day.

  1. Chrome Gouda says:

Jim Henson was in a small, underwater box in order to operate Kermit during this scene. Here’s one indicator of his attention to detail and perfection of his craft: notice the banjo playing. Henson makes sure that Kermit’s hands strum the banjo and change chords realistically during the song. We lost a national treasure when he passed away.

I’m looking forward to the new movie, too. My hope is that Jason Seigel will bring the heart and soul back to the franchise.

Gosh, this video is throwing a lot of dust into my face, causing my eyes to leak water.

  3. Atari Adventure Square says:

Jim Henson and his muppet family brought us the comfort of knowing we all retain our kid heart throughout our adult life.
It’s as easy to forget as it is to remember.
    Thanks Kermit.
