Trailer Tuesday: Bad Day At Black Rock (1955)

I had the pleasure of seeing this John Sturges directed masterpiece just a few days ago for the first time, I’m not quite sure how it slipped past my radar for so long but I am so very glad that Turner Classic Movies was showing it at a moment when I could sit down and watch it.

The cast is just an all star line-up with the likes of Spencer Tracy, Lee Marvin, Robert Ryan, Anne Francis, Walter Brennan, and Ernest Borgnine. The movie is a thriller that ends up dealing with the racism of a small town and exemplifying the courage of one man who for all intents and purposes through the film stands alone. Of course when that one man is Spencer Tracy it easy to see why a few brave souls of Black Rock begin to stand up to the villainy of a past deed the town committed by the end of the picture.

A huge thanks to Trailers From Hell for the trailer below!
