Chuck E. Cheese Does Not Have Crabs

Needless to say, in junior high we all thought this ad was hilarious.

  1. At first, we didn’t have a Chuck E. Cheese in my neighborhood; we had Showbiz Pizza. I had a lot of birthday parties at Showbiz, and these were great memories – partially due to the pizza and animatronic stage characters – mostly due to the wall-to-wall video games outside the dining room. There were probably 100 or so cabinet games out there and it gave the place a real exciting arcade-like feel. Once they changed to Chuck E. Cheese, they replaced the games with Skee-Ball, a ball pit and other non-cabinet forms of amusement. Sure, there were a few cabinets left and a pinball game, but it was never the same.
