Mork from Ork Action Figure Commercial

I must have been a huge Mork & Mindy fan as a kid, because I had these Mork toys. I can only say this about owning Mork toys, it was a very lonely toy, since no one ever wanted to play a spirited round of “Mork & Mindy”.

I had that Mork-in-an-egg thing and, indeed, it was mostly left alone (save for the space crew playtime, where red shirts were needed for monster feedings).
But judging from this commercial, I would’ve preferred the Mork Goo-in-an-egg.

I kind of feel sad for that toy store proprietor. He clearly hung the entire shop on this particular line of toys. Mork didn’t last much beyond 1980 so I don’t think an entire toy store filled with Mork & Mindy merchandise would fare all the long or well.

  3. A little dork, er, I mean Mork trivia: The Mork action figure and the Battlestar Galactica Commander Adama figure share the same body.

‘If you’ve seen them parts on another toy, you can tell it’s Mattel!’
