Why are People Afraid of Clowns?

I don’t know, could it be that we all grew up looking at illustrations of clowns like this one from Psycho magazine?

  1. Agreed, that clown in the above picture is super freaky!

Speaking of scary clowns, the clown on the box art for Mr. Do (Super Nintendo version) still freaks me out to this day. Stupid killer clowns :)

That’s it – I’m outta here. I’ll be back in November when the scary clowns are gone. And for the record, my clown trauma began with the ones from the movie Dumbo. They may not have had knives but were scary all the same to a four year old. The Psycho magazine clown is still scary to this 39 year old.

I 100% agree with you VicSage, it very much as that 1980’s RPG book feel to it, like from HOL. The clown is so creepy that even the werewolf on the poster on the left is scared of him.
