Happy Halloween from Schrute Farms

Go to the garden where the beet patch grows full
On Halloween night and begin to pull
At the stroke of twelve if the beet is straggly
sad lot for thee.
But if smooth and round a happy life thine will be.

I’m not sure how this pilgrim woman fits into the Schrute family tree…perhaps she’s Mose’s sister? Whoever she is, her life is sure to be filled with happiness since the okra-looking fairy has gifted her a gloriously smooth and round beet. The fairy must have granted her some special powers too, like the ability to stand in the garden on inexplicably tiny feet.

I’m sure that the guests at the Schrute Farms B&B (pictured in background) will appreciate the fresh German-Style Beet Salad.
