At some point in early 1990 my friend told me I needed to come over his house to see a video this older brother had gotten from a friend. It was an odd film that I could not take my eyes off of, called Heavy Metal Parking Lot. The film was and in the intervening years has become even more of a cult classic. So when I heard that another film, by the same guys who brought us that classic were releasing a new film, I thought, what took you so long and where can I go see it?
The new film, Heavy Metal Picnic, will be coming to theaters in 2011. They recently released a trailer, which gives you a good idea of what to expect.
