When I Rolled…I Rolled on a Green Machine

Before it was all hip and cool to be green, I was riding down the narrow sidewalks of my humble little berg on a lever-steered Green Machine.

I had a Green Machine. My only complaint about it was the inability to ride on our town’s narrow sidewalks. Big Wheels could easily fit, but my wide rear axle slipped right off the curb. I had to ride in the street. Perhaps my parents were trying to tell me something?

My brother and I had good ol’ ordinary big wheels. We both wanted a green machine so badly! It still looks cool to this day!

    On the sidewalk? Yeah.

    In the street? Sure.

But we used to race ours down the stairs….
