Jack Nicholson’s Hydrogen Powered Car (1978)

32 years ago, Jack Nicholson, was on the CBS talking about his Hydrogen Powered Car. Now I ain’t no science-type guy, but I would think that after 3 decades this technology would have matured more.

  1. Ugly American says:

Follow the money. The most profitable companies in the world are:

    1 – $45B ExxonMobil (Oil & Gas)
    2 – $27B Gasprom (Oil & Gas)
    3 – $26B Shell (Oil & Gas)
    4 – $24B Chevron (Oil & Gas & obstructionist battery patents)
    5 – $21B BP (Oil & Gas)
    6 – $20B PetroChina (Oil & Gas)
    7 – $17B GE (conglomerate & biggest military contractor)

The largest stock holding of members of both parties of Congress is GE, which they award government contracts to. Look closer and most of them hold oil & gas royalty unit trusts.

It’s in the tax code. If you put a solar panel on the roof of your business, your property taxes go up. If you leave your windows open and burn natural gas full blast, it’s tax deductible. Do you know why so many businesses in the US bought giant heavy SUVs? Because gas and diesel burning vehicles over a certain weight were 100% tax deductible. The gas? Tax deductible too. But if you want an electric car it was not tax deductible nor was the electricity to run it.

Similar scams surround the coal ‘industry’.

  2. wow that is too funny…to think it was 1978. You are right, it would seem that we would have came further than where we are at right now!
