Atari Computer Concept Art

Fans of concept art rejoice! ISO50 has posted some amazing Atari computer concept art (most of them are originally from the website colorcubic). I would have bought just about anyone of these products if Atari has put them out in their concept forms (okay maybe not the mainframe looking one) and probably still would today.

The first picture, the Atari 8000, reminds me of the computer bank in the passenger module of the Year Two Space: 1999 Eagle!

It’s a gorgeous concept drawing. Didn’t you just love it back then when computers were actually design to look sleek & modern, almost like spaceships?

I recall the Apple //c as one of those – they even used one in the in the movie ’2010: The Year We Make Contact’.

Very nice. Can see some elements from these in the XL series. That home arcade game unit looked promising.. AND FUN!

I finally went and checked out the ISO50 website – wow! I would love to know where he finds these vintage design pics! His own work is quite impressive, too.

I’d also like to know how Retroist finds all these cool sights as well. . . .
