1979 Report on the Maturing of Disco

This WAVE-TV Louisville news story examines the state of disco music in late 1979. Featured are WAKY Radio Program Director Mike McVay, WAKY midday personality Darrell Douglas, and Billboard Magazine’s Gerry Wood. The report has great footage shot in a disco and for a moment talks about how disco might be on its way out, before the report shifts gears and instead focuses on the maturing of the genre.
