Another week has flown by and I thought it might be a good idea to start doing a weekly review of stuff posted on the site. Kind of a “just in case you missed it” sort of thing. So here goes…
First of all this week we have a brand new Retroist Podcast. It is all about the classic police show, Adam-12. Oh an although I forgot to mention it in the summary of the show (very bad of me). Metagirl is back in this episode with a list of her Top 5 favorite episodes.
Some great video game reviews went up on the site this week. Vinvectrex posted a review of Starhawk for the Vectrex and Liontown posted a review about the Atari 2600 classic, H.E.R.O (a game that I have started playing again because of the review). As a followup to last week’s review of Halo 2600, arcadepuppy made a movie of the game being played on his arcade MAME machine. I think it is the only such video of the game being played in that manner and it makes me real jealous.
Did you catch the Comedy Central Roast of David Hasselhoff? It got me in a Hoff kinda mood and I dug up an old issue of Dynamite magazine with Hoff on the cover and posted the interview with him from the early 1980s. More content from Dynamite and a stack of other old magazines should start showing up.
Who owned a Swatch? Well Douglas McCoy did a great post on the his Swatch memories. It has me digging around for my old Swatch.
We had two posts about 8-bit music this week, both great albums: Evolution (8-Bit Girl) – A Collection of Love Songs for the 8-bit Generation by equinoxe and Kind of Bloop – An 8-Bit Tribute to Miles Davis’ Kind of Blue.
Need a Saturday night dinner suggestion? How about a Tab Cola and a Lunch Bucket?
Some great TV shows submitted this week to the TV section of the site. Before I get to that, remember that Max Headroom: The Complete Series is available on DVD now. Her are just some of the shows submitted this week: At Ease, Vegetable Soup, VR Troopers and Webster. The TV section is growing fast, but Plaidman and I could always use more TV fans, so if you have a moment, drop by and share your memories.
I had been meaning to do a week in review post for a while. What do you think of the concept? Should I keep it up?
Just a reminder, if you want to submit to any part of the website you can post submit your Blog Posts, Retro Game Reviews and TV Show online. Just make sure you are registered for the site first, so you can be properly credited.

Enjoyed the write-up. Good feature.
Saw the Hoff roast and I’m glad he took it all so well and seems to have put the boozing behind him and has support from his family.
I like the guy, same as with most actors who have given me hours of enjoyment throughout the years.
My big, extended, TV family.
I’ll add that Gilbert Gottfried is one of the funniest SOB’s out there.
I like this new feature…especially since I somehow missed the Swatch article. Doh!
