Walt Disney presents the music awards of the evening. The 25th Academy Awards honoring the best movies of 1952, were held on March 19, 1953, from the RKO Pantages Theatre in Hollywood, California. Hosted by Bob Hope.

I really love that first bit with Bob Hope telling what Walt Disney said in regards to his being asked to announce the musical nominations. Humble to say the least. Probably one of the reason I love Uncle Walt so much.
Check out how many nominations there were, not the same as today. High Noon totally deserved those awards! :)
Boy did they have class back then or what. Walt Disney was so cool that even when he fumbled with words it sounded natural. I really like how the winners just gave a quick thank you as opposed to the 5 hour long speeches of today.
