The Star Wars/Star Trek Spaceship Mashup in the movie Zapped

I watched Zapped a lot as a kid. I like the idea of someone getting powers and my sister had a big crush on Scott Baio, so it was a movie we could watch together. I enjoyed the story of Barney and his pals a lot, but I was always bothered by this one scene where they use a model spaceship that is a Millennium Falcon and the Star Ship Enterprise glued together. I am not sure if they did this for legal reason or what, or just to mess with me, but that ship still haunts/bothers me.
