  1. One interesting thing about this is that it was shown during movie intermissions, esp. at drive-ins (“sign the petition in the lobby of this theater”). I once saw a similar PSA in a collection of drive-in movie intermissions.

    I had assumed some broadcast association was repsonsible for the anti-cable PSA, but now I suspect the movie theaters actually thought they had a lot to lose from people being able to see more movies on “Pay TV.”
