Pocket Rockers

The Pocket Rockers toy and concept I always thought was kind of useless because I had regular tapes and a real off-brand Walkman-like thing to play them in, and older siblings who would make me sweet mix tapes. So I didn’t really need a kid-friendly toy Walkman that played two-song long cassettes that could only be purchased at Toys R’ Us. But as for the whole image of the cool ‘80s kid in his jeans jacket, rocking out to the rock music as he walked down the street? Now that’s what I wanted and wanted to be. So very badly. I’m almost there.

  1. In regards to the attire, it’s kind of like me with the silver Atari jacket and Sony Walkman? I was just positive the cool kids would be wearing those in the future. Sigh.
