Scooby-Doo! Abracadabra-Doo on DVD

scooby doo abracadabra doo

Last night I watched Scooby-Doo! Abracadabra-Doo, the new original Scooby-Doo movie and I was more then pleasantly surprised. In this magical adventure, Scooby and the gang visit Velma’s younger sister, Madelyn, who’s studying magic at the Whirlen Merlin Magic Academy for magicians. Naturally that is where the mystery starts. It seems the school is haunted by a griffin. The gang decides to investigate this magical haunt and of course not everything is at it seems.

The movie looks great. The first thing you will notice is that they have changed up the animation style from previous Scooby Originals. The animation is livelier and has a nice retro-scooby sensibility that just speaks to me and I think it will to both new fans and we classic Scooby fans. I would say the gang looks like they did in their older adventures and I found their personalities and temperament a throwback to the characters I knew and love from the Where are you? days. Sharp writing.

The DVD also include a bonus segment on how to make your very own scary puppet, that will entertain the youngsters in your life.

Will the gang solve the mystery of the haunted magic school? Find out and order your copy of Scooby-Doo! Abracadabra-Doo [@] Amazon

  1. this looks good…I’m happy they’re still “keepin’ it real” with Scooby Doo. The show has enjoyed quite a lifespan thus far. Watching Scooby was a part of my daily routine when I was a kid.
