I really liked these D&D Catalog offer ads from back in the day. They gave me insight as to how others played D&D. Who puts goblins to sleep and moves on? Everyone knows you need to put them to the sword once they are down. Then you take their measly copper and buy some cheap ale.
What a great ad. What’s really funny is the typesetting in the info area…looks like it could be from 1960! I guess they were still hand-laying type (pre-computer) when D&D came out. Boy to do I feel old.
