Meco, who had hits with disco versions of music from Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back, experienced diminishing returns on his wacky novelty disco remake act, but nevertheless in 1983, he made an ’80s New Wave/dance pop “club version” of the trilogy-capping “Ewok Celebration,” that weird, nonsensical Ewok song of victory at the end of Return of the Jedi.
