Post Crispy Critters Cereal Commercial

Crispy Critter was re-issued by Post Cereals in 1987 after having been tested unsuccessfully during the 1960s. This second attempt to popularize this cereal was also unsuccessful and it was discontinued shortly thereafter. A cereal shaped like animals seems like a natural fit, yet here we all are still living in a Animal-shaped cereal free world. Why?

  1. According to my baby book, I liked Crispy Critters when I was two (1964ish). But I have no memory of them. It is surprising that they didn’t catch on more – Animal Crackers are still around, and they’re the same thing in cookie form.
