In the late 1980s I became obsessed with getting a RC car. The first few that were gifted to me all were Wire-Controlled, which never really worked well. The I scored my Tyco Turbo Hopper and everything got so much better.

My brother and I had the 2nd gen Turbo Hoppers with the wheel for steering. To this day, that was the best RC car I ever had. We broke a suspension mount and Tyco sent us a brand new car. Nice!
