When I was young, the principal of my school had those clacking metal balls and the drinking bird on her desk. If I was unlucky enough to be called into her office, she could count on zero of my attention. I found the drinking bird absolutely mesmerizing. My mom always tried to get me and my sister interested in this drinking bird…or a more retro looking version of the model shown in this post. Sadly for her, we never cared very much about her bird. There were too many other things going on. Too much Pitfall to play.
