DEVO’s “Girl U Want” Music Video

The music video from DEVO’s “Girl U Want”, from their third album “Freedom of Choice“, is a dream in green in purple. The band plays to a throng of adoring fans in a setting that apes the early televised performances of heartthrob performers of the 1950s and 1960. The song represented Devo’s attempt to create a song in the style of “My Sharona” by The Knack and the music video reflects this attempt as well.
