After the Archies TV show proved to be a hit, Filmation tried to strike paydirt again with its Saturday morning creation “The Hardy Boys”. Like the Archies, the show featured pop songs that the kiddies could buy. But, unlike the Archies, the show wasn’t the hit hoped for. It was on the air for only two seasons and only two Hardy Boys LPs were released.
After the Saturday morning run, the show was syndicated briefly, but that’s about it. It has never been released on VHS or DVD, and the LPs have long been unavailable.
This is a complete 30-minute episode, but with two separate stories. The first (of 3) clips contains the first story, the second story is stretched over parts two and three (The weekly song is in part two).

That’s extremely limited animation — even for Filmation!

That attack was so brutal it made the black park ranger speak like a white woman! (Part 1 @ 1:57)
