Saturday Morning Watchmen

I finally saw Watchmen. It was okay. The story of it is that it took twenty years and multiple stalled attempts before it finally got made in what was basically a faithful (if a tad flat) adaptation. Happy Harry, a brilliant animator, put together this opening sequence from Watchmen if it were a Saturday morning cartoon in the 1980s or ’90s, and all the weight, drama, and seriousness were taken out of it. You know, like if Fox thought X-Men and Watchmen were the same thing. Lots of great inside jokes for Watchmen fans here.

About Brian Boone

From the middle of nowhere in the Pacific Northwest, I contribute to the Retroist, write for trivia publications, and blog about music in a humorous fashion at www.lovehatesociety.com. I feel about "Back to the Future" the way you feel about "Star Wars." Also, I'm married and have a child (sorry ladies, orphans).
