Spuds MacKenzie Halloween Commercial

I was such a big Spuds MacKenzie fan as a kid that I had a poster of him on the back of my bedroom door. Not many people know this, but Spuds was actually a she. Sadly Spud passed away on May 31, 1993 at the age of 10. It was a day of mourning in my life. This commercial really captures the magic of the Spuds ad blitz. Adorable dog, classic horror movie, Robin Leech. Wonderful

  1. I had a poster of Spuds too – he was wearing a powder wig and signing a Declaration of Independence type parchment – The theme was “Freedom to Party” or something equally clever.
