Here’s some current buzz from the forums:

Eighties Movies You Think Everyone Should See
“Alot of obvious movies for this thread. For some reason I’ve always been a fan of ‘Plain Clothes’. I can’t find a clip on youtube, but hopefully the imdb info will be enough. Maybe I’m just a sucker for George Wendt.”

Your Top 5 Saturday Morning Cartoons
“Scooby Doo was always my favorite, and since I got to watch very very few cartoons I’ll have to go with that.

I did also like the Beatles cartoon in the late 60s, mostly for the music though. “And Your Bird Can Sing” was a standout for me on that cartoon, it made the horrible lame no-storyline worth it.”

Tales of the Gold Monkey
“This is one of those shows that I know I loved, but I had forgotten all about. Definitely need more shows of this genre”

Best 1980′s Movies from A-Z
“W = Weird Science

Loved the theme song by Oingo Boingo.

“Plastic tubes and pots and pans
Bits and pieces and
Magic from the hand
Were makin” ”

Best Episode of Star Trek: TOS
“Balance of Terror” is definitely a quality episode. The general consensus among most fans though is that “The City on the Edge of Forever” is he best episode and I would have to agree. I rewatch that one a couple of times a year. “Balance of Terror” is in my top 5 though for TOS. ”

Mallrats?
“Growing up Menomonie, WI was pretty crappy, so my buddy Jeremy and me every Friday night drove to Eau Claire, WI and hung out at the mall all night and pretty much the next day too. It was a short drive, 30 minutes one way. Video Games at Aladdin’s Castle and the video game store. We lived there. First Eau Claire just had London Square Mall but then Oakwood mall was made and we had two malls to rat around in. But the mecca of all malls was made and it because our new stomping grounds. The Mall of America.

I would say we went there every Saturday and hung out there all day. It was a 90 minute drive up, but we did not care. All day at the mall and maybe even hang out downtown Minneapolis. But we where both MAJOR mall rats. Even today I still hang out at the mall, Apple Store, video game store, whatever. I can spend many hours there and not care. Something about the mall and the character it has just makes me feel at home inside. I love going to the mall late after noon and as I walk around I can tell the sun is setting and the lights inside the mall start to get brighter and the families leave and… just something magical happens and the crowd and building itself take on a completely different vibe then it was just a few short hours before. I miss those days of being a teen and just being at the mall all day with not a care in the world. But it is fun to be there now and be able to buy things this time.”
