“A Dream Called Walt Disney World” (1981)

a dream called walt disney world

This has been a great set of videos to talk about and they bore further research. They come from a tape that was released called “A Dream Called Walt Disney World” and it was released in 1981. You can still actually get old copies of it on VHS at Amazon. I just ordered my copy, so I can be sure.

This is the type of TV I would watch in the 70s/80s that made me want to LIVE inside the Magic Kingdom. No celebs, no clever tricks, just awesome. The special is long so it had to be cut into 3 parts.

  1. Brer Bob says:

Within the first two minutes you see Pirates (1973), Hoop-Dee-Doo (1974), Space Mountain (1975) and The Main St. Electrical Parade (1977), so I’m thinking 1980 should be right. Now to finish watching the whole thing…

  2. Alright, think we are getting to the bottom of this. I did a few searches and think I nailed down the vid and ordered myself a copy :)

So happy ending all around. Huzzah!
