My crafty wife was going to make this for me until we realized that because of the scarf’s inherent extra-long, extra-wide nature (it’s the true source of time travel power – the Tardis is just for show), it was going to cost like $250 in yarn. However, if you’re a nerd with means and a knack for the needles, go for it.
Oh, and yes, we know it’s the “Tom Baker as the Doctor” scarf. He’s the only one that matters. Why? Because he’s the only one who wore an awesome scarf, that’s why.

Crafty wife. I meant crafty wife. My wife is not made of crafts.
I assumed you knitted her or that it was a euphemism that I was unfamiliar with.
I have a pattern on my website that calls for $30 worth of acrylic yarn to knit a Doctor Who scarf. It’s in Vanna’s Choice yarn, which you can get at any Michael’s or Jo Anne Fabricks.
The website is wittylittleknitter.com I also list two other yarns, neither of which costs over $100
Thanks Tara. I encourage people will go check out your site.
The scarf?
What about the traveling companions?
I did one using a crochet needle, 7 or 8 colors in all, I think I spent about $20 or so in yarn.
Be prepared to be at it for the better part of a month, it takes a while.
I have a similar scarf but it is not an exact replica. My mom made it back in the 80′s and just sent it to me as a birthday gift. I would like to show it off but not sure how to send you a photo. If you go to my facebook page under Joseph Aulde you can see the photos I just put up today, it arrived this morning.
Sincerely
A big fan of The Doctor;
