Not enough people have seen this inspiring performance of “Hey Hey, My My (Into the Black)” from Neil Young’s film effort “Human Highway”. DEVO, not only owns the song, but I think they actually improve upon the Young classic. I am not alone in this assessment, Young would show this footage to his band Crazy Horse and according to Crazy Horse guitarist, Frank Sampedro “they played “Hey Hey My My” “harder” as a result”.

Thanks! This was so awesome I probably played it 12 times today. Its crazy to think that M.M. does Target commercials and sountracks to kid movies nowadayz,,,,
I think it just shows how versatile MM can be. He can bring great music to anything.
OK I got sick by some 4th of July bug and spent my Sunday night in a slow daze. I played this video way too many times because when I tried to sleep I ended up in a re-occuring waking fever dream where I was in the crib with the synth. The band just kept playing that riff over and over again, and I was being mercilessly taunted by the guitar solos and the guy in the shades. It was kinda cool in a bad peyote trip kinda way hahaha.
P.S. Good job avoiding all the Michael Jackson Hype last week..
This scene haunts me as well. Something about the setup and the energy at the end that makes it uncomfortable to watch and yet riveting.
how many cocaine peyote shooters do you suppose neil young did on this shoot?
