Most everyone in the world is familiar with the Star Wars Holiday Special, but not many people know that another Star Wars special was made in 1977, the Donny and Marie Star Wars Special. The show, which is an extended Star Wars themed sketch, is just great and is filled with the usual Donny and Marie music and comedy antics. What makes it so interesting to me is the cast they brought aboard, which may just make it more bizarre then the Star Wars Holiday Special. Red Foxx as Ben and Paul Lynde as an Imperial Officer! Oh and if that isn’t enough to get you interested. It is worth sitting through it just to hear Thurl Ravenscroft do the voice of Darth Vader.
