The 2008 Vader Project

Vader Helmet

I kept hoping that I would have an excuse to get down to Pittsburgh to check out the Vader Project in person before covering it on the site. Since that looks unlikely right now, I figured I should post it before it here before it goes away.

The show, which invited 100 artists to take exact replicas of the iconic Darth Vader helmet and put a fresh spin on them. The show is running until May 3, 2009 at The Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (www.warhol.org). If you live or plan on being in the Pittsburgh area why not check it out?

I would love to wander through the gallery with more Vaderesque lighting. I am thinking those red floor lights like in the cloud city fight scenes.
