Some great Retro DVDs came out this week, overall a pretty good week for Retro TV fans.

Mission Impossible: The Sixth TV Season – Show that is due for a next generation

Jetsons: The Movie – Late 1980s classic

The Waltons: The Complete Ninth Season – I am surprised this show ever went off the air

The Retroist is like a BBQ on a bun without the bones. You're only human daddy. Chomp!

Mission Impossible did have a next generation, around the same time that Star Trek: The Next Generation was around; during the Writer’s Strike of that era, ABC (I think) started up a new Mission: Impossible series, with the idea that they’d recycle the scripts from the original. But the strike ended, so they used original scripts.

It was a good updated version, I thought. Certainly better than the movies.
