This Week’s Highlights

I did some reorganizing this week on the site. Some new colors and moved some links around. I also got a newly designed logo for the site that I am still working on making fit. Look for it to appear sometime soon.

Now here are the most popular posts this week:

  • Complete Set of Opening Credits to the Marvel Cartoons of the 1960s with Lyrics – Marvel has been putting out some great moviesand I have been a Marvel comic reader since before I can remember, but I am almost certain that my first exposure to the Marvel Universe, was in the form of repeats of the cartoons Marvel put together in the late 1960s.
  • DEVO Performs a Perfect Set at the Phoenix Theater in Petaluma, CA on August 17th, 1980 – As you will see their performance chops had been honed to razor perfection and their magnetism on stage is indisputable.
  • Tron 2 Spoilers -Ain’t It Cool New has posted some potential spoilers from what they describe as a “trustworthy” source. If you need to go in fresh, do not read any further…
  • Telezonia (1974) – This AT&T propaganda, I mean educational film, from 1974 is about 4 kids who think the phone is “good for nothing” until they are shrunk down and are introduced to the “wonders” of the telephone by Telly, who magically transports them to “Telezonia” (which may or may not be near Chicago).
  • Tom Selleck Wants to be Magnum Again – Tom Selleck, perhaps best know for his role as Hawaii based detective Thomas Sullivan Magnum, wants to reprise his role in the upcoming Rawson Marshall Thurber directed film revival.

Please don’t forget to subscribe to the site and follow me on Twitter.

Thanks for another great week of retro awesomeness. If you have a Retro or Nostalgia themed site or product and would like it reviewed, please contant theretroist[at]gmail.com.
