I am pretty sure the Atari 2600 would not have been able to handle the complexity of Super Mario Bros, but this video is a great imagining of the graphical treatment it would have received. Ahh…. nothing like a good “what if”.

That is TOOO Hilarious.!!!! Bet the Box art looked awesome though.
Cute concept, but it looks too good. Remember that 2600′s only had two sprites and two missiles; that many moving objects would cause a hell of a lot of flicker on a 2600.
That’s closer to what a 5200 version would have looked like, but a little blockier.
