Man, talk about nostalgia. This was my first video game system ever. It was *awesome*. I loved how the games weren't actually color, the plastic overlays that you could put on the display were. Also, the Star Trek game could be beat in about 7 seconds. Hit the warp field on the bottom left on the first level, teleport straight to the final boss, then fire off a few shots immediately, and win. Priceless.

I have a Vectrex. Still a cool retro-blast to play. Moab's right, it was the only one with vector, rather than pixel, graphics. Came with a game cartridge a plastic colored screen overlay that also explained what each of the 4 controller buttons do. Still have about 15 games; the later ones started to incorporate a crude voice synthesizer to the game play. The built-in game, a Asteroids-esque blaster, was still the favorite. Coolness.

Ooooh, I wanted one of these. I think this is the only console to have vector graphics (like the original arcade Ateroids, Lunar Lander, Major havoc, Battle Zone, etc). After the video game industry imploded, I saw Vectrexes selling for $59. I still wish I'd bought one...
