Coleco Gemini? I don’t remember this one. I had a Colecovision, though. I made sweet and tender love to her. Mmmm. I put my Intellivision and Atari 2600 far away, in the deepest corners of my closet, so I could more fully embrace her. Sick? You bet.
The aftermarket controllers? Never saw ‘em, except for #22. Perhaps more reliable, but I liked the Atari Joysticks.
We had a couple of those Wico bat joysticks (number 21) for you Commodore 64. Those things rocked. Wico made the industrial strength joysticks on real arcade games. They worked great and were pretty much indestructible. Only bad part is, that metal shaft… In the winter you had to be very careful to make sure that you touched something to ground yourself before touching the joystick because the electro-static discharge could zap some component inside the computer…Happened to us 3 times!!! By the third time, the guy at the repair shop knew exactly which componnent needed replacing. Wow…fixing electronics. How quaint. :)
