I am a big Marvel reader, but this Secret Invasion just is not working for me. It lacks tension. It lacks coherence. I was just about to give up on the whole magilla. Then they go and throw up this video for embracechange.org and I am suddenly intrigued once again.
Will the skrulls live amongst us after the invasion? Will they factionalize? Who really cares, this is confusing marketing at its best. Now this ran on ESPN 2 (The Duece). I wonder how many people were confused as all get-out by this?
Not so retro, but I needed to bring it up.

I haven’t even tried SI myself. Or Final Crisis for that matter.

They both have their moments. DC I have been enjoying All Star Superman and of course RIP. Both are crazy good. On the Marvel side it had to be the Incredible Hercules and Thunderbolts.
Wait until the SI is done and read it all at once. Maybe it will make sense that way.

See, I HATE Morrison’s writing. So staying away from RIP and FC have been no problem for me, even though I’m a total DC fanboy. All Star only lasted the first issue for me before I decided to pass.
The only thing I’ve enjoyed from Morrison is his JLA run and Animal Man.
I got back into comics in ‘04, and since then, I haven’t cared much about Marvel outside of a few books. I was reading Avengers books but when both companies’ events started to kick in, I dropped out of comics totally. I’m just a trade-waiter now.
Just got done with the latest volume of Fables earlier today. Excellent stuff as always.
