What’s not to love about a cereal whose mascots are a bunch of “freaks”? Absolutely nothing. Bring back the Freakies I say! Thanks to Jim for the memory jog.

What I really enjoy about the Freakies is the headcount. Its like the Dirty Dozen of mascots.

It has been like 35 years, but I remember a variant of this spot where the “big finish” lyrics went, “Freakies have vitamins, and Freakies are good for you, and this is our Freakies treeeeee…”
I had a whole set of the Freakies figures, too, but those didn’t make it out of my childhood.

Good golly! I did remember most of the lyrics. So sad, so sad … makes you wonder what sorts of things I could have stored in that spot in my gray matter.
