Hooray for NASA’s Phoenix!

When I was a kid I wanted either be an astronomer or a biochemist. After 3 years of studying Biochem in college I became neither (long story). But as many of you may know once the science is in your blood, it isn’t easy to get it out. I am one of those people who still gets excited about Shuttle launches and desperately wants to go to adult Space Camp. Needless to say I am pleased as punch to be able to watch the seemingly flawless Phoenix mission to Mars fold right before my eyes.

Like so many thing NASA does, Phoenix is an amazing triumph of technology and ingenuity. Its an especially good mission for those who need instant gratification. Moments after touchdown, pictures started flowing…Absolutely amazing!

Well done NASA. Keep up the good science.
