Since I cannot think of anyway to find out I wrote the Boys Club and got this response six weeks later:
Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) is a national organization whose mission is to “enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.” It offers many programs that provide kids with a fun and educational experience, as well as a safe after-school environment. Headquarters are located in Atlanta, with regional offices in Chicago, Dallas, New York City and Los Angeles.

The Boys Club was some mysterious cabal (Aren’t are cabals?) to me. I had a vague idea that did some good, but what exactly did they do?
And who holds hands like that anyway?
