Love this bit of history. Back in 1982, McDonald’s ran a scratch and win Atari contest. This great scan pretty much sums up the contest rules and prizes. I didn’t get to eat McDonald’s too often in 1982, but I am pretty sure I got to scratch at least on of these tickets.

Thanks to McDonald’s and Atari, the old-fashioned TV Dinner is being replaced by exciting Video Dinner that could make you a winner!

Wow, two great failure together. btw that sandwich looks like it would taste really shitty. The 80’s left a bad taste in my mouth because of Nintendo controllers that I chewed on.

Quick Post

Busy Busy Busy
Work just keeps marching on and its slowing down the posting pace. Which has me really bummed. I got gaggles of stuff to post, but have zero computer energy when I get home. On the shiny bright side I have been enjoying more entertainment. I absolutely adore Me TV and its bro channel Me Too. My media center is now packed to the gills with classic TV from the 60s 70s and 80s. They even run a classic commercial now and again, so it forces me not to skip. Tricky monkeys.

I have been sucked into Marvel's Secret Invasion. The story is going a little slow, but they are dripping in enough fanboy moments to rope me in. FYI - show Captain America or Thor in mysterious silhouette in the last panel of a comic and you got me hooked.

Video games = Lego Indiana Jones.

My iPhone. Well I got 2.0 update running today. Its pretty easy to do a manual upgrade on this thing and some of these new apps are great. AIM and Pandora are standouts for me. Its going to be a while before they have some of my dream apps (open directory ebook and comic reader), but I am fairly patient.

I got this great book on Hawaiian Mythology last week that I am wading through. Makes me want to head back there and crash for a few years. Well just a quick update for those who care.
